Two (2) CPE hours for both CMAs and CPAs are provided. Attendees must sign in and out and be present for the presentation in order to receive CPE credit. CPE certificates will be sent in an email for those who have met the requirements.

Professional Development Session - Communicate Better with a Better Presentation by Ronald P. Fory, CMA, CPA, CFE, CFM
In this session, attendees will learn how to better communicate with their presentations.
Prerequisites: None
This program will consist of a presentation, requiring no advance preparation.
About the Speaker:
Ron Fory is a retired lecturer in Accounting for the University of North Texas at Dallas, and is guest lecturer at other Executive MBA programs. He has been an international management consultant with a background in controllership in manufacturing, distribution, and not-for-profit industries over the past 25 years.
Ron is a frequent presenter at meetings and conferences on fraud prevention and leadership development. He has been a moderator and panelist on many CPE programs for local, regional and national audiences. Most recently, he presented at the IMA Annual Conference, speaking on Strategic Thinking, Fraud Detection and Prevention, and Leadership.
His article on “The Art of Leadership” was the cover article for the inaugural edition of the international finance and business journal, Capital.
Ron has a baccalaureate degree in Political Science from Park University in Kansas City MO and a graduate degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ron’s professional certification includes CMA, CFM, CFE and CPA.
Technical Session - How Many Jobs is Too Many? By Tom Pryor (President of ICMS, Inc. & Mentor)
Based on current trends, management accountants will have between 20 to 30 job changes during their career.
Tom Pryor will present how he arrived at that number of job changes, the implications of that many changes, what he recommends the number of job changes should be for a management accountant and how to achieve it.

About the Speaker:
Tom Pryor is a Denton-based family business advisor, whose diverse 50-year career includes 19 years in Fortune 500 financial management, founder of a company that specialized in Activity Based Costing and Director of UTA’s Small Business Development Center.
In addition to delivering numerous presentations to IMA groups over the years, Tom currently serves on the advisory board of Baylor’s Family Business Institute, delivers Meals-on-Wheels, mentors Army veterans and Texas prison inmates, and writes books. Six in total.
Tom has been happily married 49 years and is DEBT FREE, both consistent with his life proverb … Success is NOT logical.
