Two (2) CPE hours for both CMAs and CPAs are provided. Attendees must sign in and out and be present for the presentation in order to receive CPE credit.  CPE certificates will be sent in an email for those who have met the requirements. 

Dallas Fort Worth Area IMA is a registered CPE sponsor with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA).  This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the board as to the quality of our CPE program.

About the Speaker:

Mike Muhney is a recognized expert in the field of relationship management, entrepreneurship, and software development. He began his career as an IBM-trained sales professional, and there learned the value of establishing genuine connections with others.

Mike Muhney is the co-inventor of ACT! Contact Software, the recognized catalyst for the Customer Relationship Management industry. He is passionate about sharing unique insights with participants and helping others build and enhance their relationships, their networks, and even their careers.

Mike Muhney is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois. He lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

About the Speaker:

Sherry James, PMP is a Program and Portfolio Management Executive at HollyFrontier Corp with extensive experience across a broad spectrum of industries, including oil and gas, retail, telecommunications, government contracting, software development, and healthcare. Since 2000, she has worked as an executive coach and consultant creating Servant Leadership curriculum for organizations large and small. Her passion for mentoring the next generations of leaders has taken her around the country in the last few years speaking on topics that will bring together multiple generations around projects and programs that are beneficial to all involved. 

Sherry currently serves as Manager, Program Management Office to HollyFrontier in Dallas, TX. Her prior roles of PMO director, Program/Project Leader, leadership training developer and facilitator at organizations including 7-Eleven, Inc. and AT&T have given her a very unique toolkit for success. As a member of Project Management Institute since 2009, Sherry has held various leadership roles for the Dallas PMI chapter including VP of Professional Development from 2013-2017. She is currently Associate Vice President of New Initiatives, creating opportunities for the chapter that engage and empower the next generation. In 2016, Sherry served as the Entertainment Liaison for Diner en Blanc, a volunteer driven pop-up surprise celebration for 2500+ attendees.  http://dallas.dinerenblanc.info/ 

She is actively engaged in the speakers’ circuit on topics related to project management, next generation leadership, communication, and team development, and works providing executive coaching support to C-level executives. Sherry has two children; her daughter Typhani is a 29-year-Cardiac ICU nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and her 10-year-old son Myles is an avid reader and passionate basketball player.
