Parking: Free, in designated areas, parking permit will be required.  The permit and parking instructions will be sent to registered non-UTD participants a few days before the event.  Additional permits will be available at the registration table on the day of the event.  UTD participants should use their existing parking permit.

About the Topics and Speakers:
Session I - How to Stay Relevant by Adrien Dubourg, CMA, CPA (Manager, M&A, E&Y)

Objective – Participants will learn how the CMA, CPA and other things will help to grow their career.

Adrien Dubourg
is a CMA and CPA in the State of Texas. He has 10+ years of industry experience in financial services and life sciences holding various financial leadership roles mostly in FP&A. Over the last 4 years he worked in management consulting with The Hackett Group leading large Finance transformation initiatives and system implementations based on best practices and digital capabilities. His clients include Amgen, Citi Bank, Verizon and most recently Boeing. He just started a new role in the M&A practice at EY. He has 2 young boys and is from France. He enjoyed indoor and outdoor cycling, yoga, golf and travelling. He's very competitive and likes mentoring younger people to be successful. His mantra: it's all about the skills and intellectual curiosity not the title and money  

Session II - LinkedIn by Terry Sullivan (founder and CEO of BuzzPro)

Objective – Terry will walk you through the key branding and strategies, tips and secrets you need to create a well-branded LinkedIn profile that gets results.

Nik Fahrer serves corporate and individual clients in the hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, and technology industries.  His technical knowledge includes tax planning and compliance, including multistate compliance and accounting method strategies.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Indiana CPA Society, Texas Society of CPAs and current treasurer for the Institute of Management Accountants DFW Chapter. 

Nik is a 2015 graduate of the University of Evansville, Evansville, IN with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems.

Session V – Data Analytics by Daniel Smith CMA

Objective – Participants will gain insight into the power of today’s data analytics.

Using Business Intelligence platforms to bridge the gap between Advanced Data Analytics and the efficient effective principles of accounting, Daniel Smith applies technology and mathematics to make business faster and smarter. 

Daniel has managed solutions for diverse client sectors such as advertising, military, insurance, and oil & gas. These solutions include Business Intelligence Platform management, online key performance indicator identification, and tracking, to full predictive data model construction. Although the analytic solutions are often mathematically complex, Daniel’s presentation and academic background ensure any insights delivered by solutions are relevant and simple to understand. 

Daniel earned his MBA from Coastal Carolina University in 2009, became a Certified Management Accountant in 2010, and a Certified Public Accountant in 2011. He was also awarded the Institute of Management Accountant’s 2013 Young Professional of the Year award for his work in furthering Business Intelligence in Management Accounting.
