For as long as she can remember, Gayle Goodman has been motivated by a good challenge – particularly when she felt there was a larger need that would be served through her effort. That’s likely why she chose my original career path in communication. After all, the best way to make a big impact is either to learn to promote your ideas well or run for office. (And she never did have the stomach for politics.)

Over the course of a 25-year career spanning corporate communication, investor relations, PR and marketing, she learned more than a thing or two about the right way to market, the right way to say things, and the right way to do the right thing. She also learned (the hard way) how to mess all of that up and chalk it up to wisdom.

Along the way, she identified her unique ability, and that is: get things done. At first, she didn’t think that was any sort of skill, much less a superpower. After all, don’t all people get things done? But in a business sense – a lot of things don’t get done. There’s great value in individuals who not only have the vision for the “something big” but also the ability to build and lead a team of people who remain accountable to that vision.

Over the path of her career, she developed her business and mentoring abilities first by obtaining an MBA from the University of Dallas and later by teaching for UD’s Gupta College of Business as an adjunct instructor. She love’s to teach – it not only brings her joy, but she found she learn as much from her students as they did from her.

With that in mind, the idea of the CoEqual Network was born. In 10 years as an entrepreneur, her on-the-job training provided the kind of bootstrap wisdom and relentless positivity that is common to self-employed folks. Now she channels that passion along a new path – by creating a network of retired CEOs who come together to harness their wisdom and experience to do something bigger than themselves.

Gayle has a Master of Business Administration, Marketing from the University of Dallas, a Bachelor of Science, Broadcast Journalism from Texas Christian University.  She is an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) from the International Association of Business Communicators.

Technical Session - Be Great......Innovate by Jerry Ratigan, CMA, CSCA, CPA (SVP Finance, Chief Accounting Officer at MoneyOnMobile, Inc. – a global payments company publicly traded in the U.S. with operations in India.)
