Description: Being a small-to-medium enterprise financial controller requires the knowledge and strategic thinking to help you address challenges and seize timely opportunities. Join Landon Slayter from Moss Adams as we explore recent accounting standard updates and recent AICPA developments and their impact.
Learning objectives:
1. Determine which new standards may affect your company's accounting and financial statement presentation and disclosure
2. Identify quality best practices when applying the new standards
3. Discuss audit standards and how these may impact your company's audit engagements.
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of the US GAAP conceptual framework
This webinar-only event is free of charge and is for professional, student, and faculty members of the Institute of Management Accountants regardless of chapter affiliation. Upon initial registration, each registrant will be required to enter their full name, email address, IMA membership number, and chapter affiliation. The registration will be approved after the membership number is validated with the IMA Global office. This event was not set up to allow for the registrant to join the webinar on multiple devices concurrently.
1.0 hour of CPE credit will be available for each registered participant who answers three polling questions during the event and achieves 50 minutes of viewing time. CPE certificates will be emailed to participants around one week after the event.

Landon Slayter has practiced public accounting since 2012. He assists public and private companies of all sizes with audit and assurance engagements, with a primary focus in the technology and real estate industries. In 2015, he obtained the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation, as he focuses on the ever-increasing impacts of fair value accounting on transactions and ongoing reporting requirements.
