The Dallas Fort Worth Area IMA Chapter will meet Tuesday, January 15th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas Near the Galleria, 4099 Valley View Lane, Dallas

Two (2) CPE hours for both CMAs and CPAs are provided. Attendees must sign in and out and be present for the presentation in order to receive CPE credit.  CPE certificates will be sent in an email to those who have met the requirements. 

Dallas Fort Worth Area IMA is a registered CPE sponsor with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA).  This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the board as to the quality of our CPE program.

Professional Development Session - Hiring the Best by Jeff Lipschultz (Founding Partner, A-List Solutions) 

In this session, attendees will learn what to look for to find the best talent and how to gain insights into how candidates will fit within your culture. 

Prerequisites: None 

This program will consist of a presentation, requiring no advance preparation.

Jeff Lipschultz
is a founding partner of A-List Solutions, a premier recruiting firm in Dallas-Fort Worth.  He enjoys blogging about the challenges of finding the best jobs as candidates and finding the best employees as companies.  Jeff also blogs about technology, employment trends, and sometimes quirky observations of society.

Jeff has a stellar track record in managing diverse teams in engineering, marketing, program management, and client relations. He has worked in many industries developing and marketing a wide spectrum of products and services while leading large-scale corporate initiatives.  Jeff has worked at several Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and small OEM. 

In staffing specifically, Jeff has hired engineers, IT and finance professionals, sales reps, technicians, Six Sigma and Lean experts, and managers of many talents. Additionally, he has recruited at universities all over the country. 

Jeff has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and University of Illinois-Chicago, respectively.  He has a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University with a focus in Marketing.  While at Motorola and BNSF Railway, Jeff was a practicing Six Sigma Blackbelt. Jeff has written a great deal on interviewing and resume writing techniques and has coached college students on creating their resumes.  He also offers training on how to interview candidates effectively and make a solid hiring decision using objective standards.
 

Technical Session - The Ergonomics of Life by Gunnar Thelander (Consultant, Speaker, and Trainer John C Maxwell Team) 

In this session, attendees will learn about the upgrades in their leadership mindsets.
