Job Description

What you will be doing

  • Ensure all financial areas of the hotel, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Night Audit, and Payroll are all administered appropriately and effectively.
  • Ensure proper controls are in place and monitored throughout the hotel to maximize profits or minimize losses by retaining revenues, reducing expenses and safeguarding hotel assets.
  • Ensure that efficient and accurate budget preparation with the full involvement of department heads is obtained.
  • Work with Controller to accurately complete payroll preparation, bi-weekly overtime report, bi-weekly tip allocation report and distribute bi-weekly payroll checks to department heads.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience (includes minimum two years in public accounting)
  • A certified public accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
  • Professional accounting or financial management experience is required.
  • Familiarity with the US GAAP and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Hybrid office/remote work schedule
  • Working knowledge of Workiva is a plus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting in a high-impact role working with contacts throughout the organization, Property Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Internal audit as well as our subsidiaries and external auditors. In this role, you will be responsible to assist in developing, implementing, and managing the external reporting processes for one of the REITs and provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions such as acquisitions, legal transactions, impairment, investments, and other non-routine complex business transactions.
